Música y danza española, latinoamericana, oriental y clásica
“DIE mit DER WOLF TANZT” is the dancer Yamuna Henriques and the pianist and organist Kerstin Wolf. The vision of the work is the connection of both artistic roots, which for Yamuna Henriques lie in flamenco dance and for Kerstin Wolf in classical music.
They interpret, among other things, Spanish, Latin American, Saiyydic and Turkish music of the Romantic and contemporary eras. The expansion of her repertoire with Bach, Beethoven and Chopin is improvisational, which enables the dance to discover new movement qualities by incorporating different dance styles. Their intuitive ability to communicate with one another in particular shapes their personal style and brings their shared art to life.
The artists develop a comprehensive repertoire in the interplay between classical music and dance, with Yamuna Henriques breaking away from traditional flamenco and incorporating and further developing new elements from modern, folkloric and classical dance.
Repertoire: Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Ad Wammes, Jehan Alain, Louis Vierne, Mozart, Albéniz, Turina, Surinach, Gurdjieff/de Hoffmann, Gulda, Debussy, Rutter, Rodrigo, Fazil Say and others.
